This a video put together by the youth of Lismore with the mentoring from our team at One Vision Productions....
Over the 8 weeks 3 schools in the Rivers shire came together to collaborate and write a song about Culture. They explored how to write lyrics and wrote a song that is powerful and inspiring. Check out the film-clip, big it up the Bundjalung nation... 2017, check it out and share it

LYRICS-

Jingi walla with a b i how are you to-day?
booniga for echidna as we start to play
namol for goanna it is the totem for our land
winjabul, wyagol the bundjalung clan

so we learn about life when we follow the ways
straight from the ancestors back in the day

we are part of a tribe that connects us to the sky
so throw your hands lets celebrate the time

chorus

widjabul wiyabul
the bunjalung clan is our people
we got taught to rise connect us to the sky
our ancestor's wisdom guiding us out of the system.

Spirit walks on the sacred land
stories past down through our dreamtime clan
memories exist yeah beyond the lands
no limits to the mind do you understand?

we choose love over fear for 50,000 years
this is our voice sharp like a spear
so let's raise our voice lets make it clear
racial ignorance it all stops here

chorus
‘cause our elders are wise they taught us to rise
don't believe the lies come see with your eyes
come look at these people and the crimes we see
don't be left in the hole come walk with me
how can we fix the pain ‘cause it's in our brain
if we have no shame, we'll deflect the rain

‘cause no one can destroy our culture and voice
so stand up all you mob ‘cause we got one choice
have a look at black eyed peas yeah where is the love
don't impress your mind come fly like a dove

‘cause this is dance and art through all our songlines
imagine doin' this back in the dream-time
so I free the tune so I can walk in line
so come on everybody let's start to rhyme
so come on all you mob can ya stop the crime
if you want to rise fast this is news to our time
